How do I get my channel?

Simply register! You can use the REGISTER button you see on the top.

What all can my radio panel do?

You can set a description for your channel. See the column on the right. You can also change your password from the same place. You have some links that allow you to make a queue of songs you want to broadcast, and then play the queue in a loop. Note that when you logout, your channel goes offline. You can also add songs individually using the inputs you see on the left. Except for a few words on the broadcast, all fields are compulsory. And don't forget to logout when you are done!

How do I add a song?

Type in an artist name, and then a song name. Then, simply use the Search YouTube! link below to open a window with the relevant song results. Now simply drag n' drop your choice onto the YouTube URL field. Write some words on the song(optional), rate the song out of 5 stars, and then just hit INSERT. Simple!

Uh oh, the video doesn't play!

Since the first version of the LiveIPs script, we've come a long way, when it comes to ensuring that you don't have non-playing videos. As of now, there isn't a known issue with your video adding systems. Hence, its best you just use the search option provided, instead of manually finding YouTube videos.

DARN, it keeps refreshing!

Heh, I know why this happens. Some videos have 0:00 as their total time, regardless of their actual total time. It's a sort of corrupted conversion by YouTube. Please choose another video.

How do I make a playlist?

Using the link to the queue maker on the right side of the radio panel page, you should be able to open a list making tool. The procedure of adding a song to a queue is just as adding it for broadcast. However, you DO need to specify the duration of the video at the bottom. This tells our playlist bot when to add the next video in line for you.

How do I play the playlist I made?

This is done by clicking any of the two links. One link can be found in the queue maker, to the left, under Playlist options. It is the ONLY link on the page, and should be easy to locate. The other link, is of course, on the Radio Panel page. It can be spotted on your right once you login, next to the queue maker.

Can I play songs without me being there?

Well, yes and no. Yes, you can play songs without seeing them play, by simply leaving the small playlist playing popup window open. But no, you cannot keep the playlist running without having that popup open. This is to ensure a better listening experience to our listeners, and to avoid bad service to all by overloading the server with processes. Also, what kind of a radio station runs without somebody in the studio?

More about the chatbox

The chatbox is an implementation of our Talk-to-the-RJ feature we promised our users. Just like a real radio channel, your users can request songs, and chat with you. The page refreshes when you write something, but receiving is asynchronous, so you don't have to keep refreshing the page to read what your users have to say. The script also detects you as the owner of your channel if you login, regardless of which username you use. This happens regardless of where your chatting from - The preview page, or the channel displayer.

Can I have my channel on my website?

Of course you can! It's your channel. Visit the webmaster's section to get your embed code and get your visitors some tunes.
